Our 3D wood map design process starts with creating a bathymetric chart of the island to ensure the precise topography of the water. A layer of laser-cut birch creates depth while the ocean terrain is etched into the map’s surface with incredible accuracy. The water is hand-stained, and then a designer etches the points of interest into the clock’s face.
